Developer Don’t Nod has released a new story trailer for its upcoming action RPG, Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden. Slated for a February 13 launch on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden, set in 1695, tells the story of lovers and Banishers, Antea and Red. The two are trained spirit-hunters, tasked with protecting people from lingering specters. However, the plot twists when Antea becomes a ghost, leaving Red conflicted between their oath to protect the living from evil spirits and saving Antea from her spectral fate.
For those new to Don’t Nod, expect an emotionally charged narrative, as the developer is known for delivering such stories. Famed for the original Life is Strange, Don’t Nod has also developed Remember Me, Life is Strange 2, Vampyr, and the more recent Jusant. In line with Don’t Nod’s style, Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden will feature meaningful, morally ambiguous choices that significantly impact the game’s narrative, world, and the destinies of its characters.
