The popular action MOBA Smite, which has been around for nearly a decade, is finally getting a sequel built in Unreal Engine 5. Announced by Titan Forge Games, Smite 2 plans to enter Alpha this spring and is currently under development for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC (Steam, Epic). Like the first game, Smite 2 will feature a roster of gods from mythological pantheons. To excite fans, Titan Forge Games unveiled Hecate, the first god exclusive to Smite 2. The developer described her in a tweet as bringing “an elegant playstyle with her ranged magical abilities, and her magic allows her to reach through dimensions and even travel within the liminal space itself.”

Smite 2 will be more than just an engine upgrade, as the sequel introduces new Stealth Zones, game-changing buffs, fresh minion formations, and the removal of Relics as players know them today. Instead, the six-slot inventory now includes the ability to activate effects triggered by a button press.
