Disney Dreamlight Valley will be leaving Early Access on December 5, 2023 and will no longer be making the transition to a free-to-play game. “This choice ensures that Disney Dreamlight Valley will be able to continue delivering on a premium game experience for all players,” Gameloft explained in a blog post. “It’s important to us that we maintain our promise to keep delivering free content updates that add new characters, realms, clothing, furniture, and more surprises to your Valley. Purchases requiring moonstones will remain optional, fair, and match the level of quality players have come to expect. Players will still be able to collect free Moonstones via Dream Snaps and Chests, or optionally choose to purchase them.”

Ahead of the game’s global launch on December 5, Disney Dreamlight Valley will share details on its first paid Expansion Pass, A Rift in Time. The game’s first-ever showcase to talk about the Expansion Pass will take place on November 1 at 10:00am Pacific or 1:00pm Eastern.

Gameloft also announced launch editions for new players joining on December 5. The Founder’s Packs will continue to be available through December 4, but once the game exits Early Access, the new editions will be available for purchase. The standard version includes the base game and 8,000 moonstones and will cost $39.99 USD. A Cozy Edition gives 14,500 moonstones, cottage house skin, five raccoon companion skins, Cheshire Cat sweater, one of six posters, and a sticker sheet and will only be available as a physical version with a $49.99 price tag. Finally, the digital Gold Edition is priced at $69.99. It grants 15,000 moonstones and includes a flowery capybara animal companion, a flowery summer cottage house style, and an artist’s overalls avatar costume. The Expansion Pass, titled A Rift in Time, is priced at $29.99 and includes 5,000 moonstones.

Any player who purchases and claims a Founder’s Pack in-game on or before December 4 will receive all the unique cosmetic items included in the upcoming Gold Edition. All Founders will also receive 2,500 moonstones. The physical Cozy Edition is now available for Nintendo Switch in North America. It will see a global release for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Switch on November 10.
