Highly anticipated sequel, Alan Wake 2, is now arriving 10 days later than expected. Remedy Entertainment has announced the game’s release date is being pushed from October 17 to October 27. “October is an amazing month for game launches and we hope this date shift gives more space for everyone to enjoy their favorite games,” the company said in a tweet. At least this means the game will still release before Halloween.
Taking a look at our upcoming release schedule, Alan Wake 2’s original date of October 17 had it competing with major titles like Assassin’s Creed Mirage, Forza Motorsport, Super Mario Bros. Wonder, and Marvel’s Spider-Man 2. The end of the month is a lot less crowded, and currently there are no major titles scheduled to release in early November, except for Like A Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name.
Remedy did say that we’ll learn more about Alan Wake 2 next week at Gamescom, so expect to see a new gameplay trailer then.
