Blizzard Entertainment’s next mobile game, Warcraft Rumble, has soft-launched today. Previously known as Warcraft Arclight Rumble, the title is dumping the word “Arclight” for launch. Designed from the ground up for mobile, this free-to-play strategy game is reminiscent of Clash Royale. Announced a little over a year ago, Warcraft Rumble has players building forces of minis, starting with leaders, and filling in Arclight-augmented armies with Troop minis and powerful Spells. Fans of the Warcraft franchise will recognize many of the leaders including Grommash Hellscream and Jaina Proudmore.
The game will feature a single-player experience with over 70 missions, along with weekly and monthly challenges in the form of multipart dungeons, epic raids, and more. Warcraft Rumble offers the ability to play with friends in competitive or cooperative play modes. Players can also join guilds. The game features over 60 heroes, villains, monsters, and more from the Warcraft franchise, taking on the form of tabletop-style minis.
The game’s soft launch is starting in the Philippines in the form of a technical test. This is the first time players outside of Blizzard will be able to test Warcraft Rumble for iOS devices. Earlier this year, there was an Android-only closed beta. The worldwide launch for Warcraft Rumble is “not too far away,” which is better than the “coming soon” we used to get from Blizzard.
