The original Red Dead Redemption is set to release on PlayStation 4 and Switch on August 17, Rockstar Games has announced. It’s not a remaster or a remake; it’s a port done by Double Eleven Studios. It will also include the zombie-horror companion, Undead Nightmare, as a package. The PlayStation 4 version will also be compatible with the PlayStation 5.

In addition to the single-player experiences, the port will support new languages: Simplified and Traditional Chinese, Korean, Polish, Brazilian Portuguese, Russian, and Latin American Spanish. The package will cost $49.99 and will be available digitally at first on the Nintendo Switch eShop and PlayStation store. A physical release is scheduled for October 13.

It might not be the remake or remaster that everyone was hoping for, but if the port runs well enough, at least more gamers can experience this legendary masterpiece originally released in 2010.
