Discord is building on its integration with Xbox, after bringing the ability to chat in voice last year to the platform. Currently, only Discord users on PC and mobile are able to stream content to their server, but that’s about to change. Starting today, Xbox Insiders can stream to Discord from their Xbox console and wider availability will be rolling out to all Xbox gamers in the near future.

To stream your game from Xbox to Discord, you’ll need to first connect your Xbox Profile to Discord, if you haven’t already. To do that, simply head to User Settings -> Connections on Discord for desktop or mobile. Within the Connections menu, you’ll see the Xbox logo. Simply click on it, sign into your Microsoft account, and you’ll have Discord linked with your Xbox account. Once you have access to stream to Discord, you’ll just have to press the Xbox button on your controller, open the Parties & Chats tab, select Discord, then your server, and join a Voice channel. Once you’re connected to the channel, just select “Stream your game” and you’ll be live.

The functionality will also be available through a Discord DM call or a Group DM. You’ll just have to join the DM call on desktop or mobile, and use the “Transfer to Xbox” button to move the conversation to your console. Once you’ve moved it over, you’ll see the “Stream your game” option in the Xbox guide.
