New World of Warcraft Expansion Debuting at Gamescom

The next World of Warcraft expansion will make its official debut at the upcoming Gamescom 2015 event on August 6, 2015. A live stream of the unveiling will take place starting at 9:00 AM PT as Blizzard Entertainment has announced that it’ll be “unveiling the next chapter of the World of Warcraft saga.” The company will follow up the unveiling with a developer chat on August 9 at 8:00 AM PT to show off more of what’s in store for the next expansion of the popular MMORPG.

The most recent World of Warcraft expansion, Warlords of Draenor, was released on November 13, 2014. Blizzard had promised a faster rate of expansion releases following Warlords of Draenor and it appears that the company is keeping to its word. This also means with World of Warcraft taking center stage at Gamescom 2015, there’s a strong possibility that Blizzard will announce a Diablo III expansion at BlizzCon 2015, considering StarCraft II‘s Legacy of the Void is on the horizon of being released and Hearthstone‘s The Grand Tournament expansion has already been revealed.
