The Claptastic Voyage DLC will arrive on Borderlands: The-Presequel on March 24, Gearbox Software and 2K Australia announced at PAX East 2015. The downloadable content will also be available as part of Borderlands: The Handsome Collection, which releases the same day for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One consoles. Owners of The Handsome Collection will have to download the DLC, as it won’t be included on the disc.
Claptastic Voyage will go into the mind of everyone’s favorite robot, Claptrap. The content will serve as a bridge between Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel and Borderlands 2 as Handsome Jack seeks a powerful, mysterious item that’s hidden in Claptrap’s source code. To get what he needs, Handsome Jack digitizes the Vault Hunters and sends them into Claptrap’s mind where players will be “exploring the deepest recesses and furthest corners of Claptrap’s mind … his hopes, dreams and stupidity,” said 2K Australia.
The DLC will also include the Ultimate Vault Hunter Upgrade Pack 2 that will raise the level cap to 70, giving each character 10 more skill points to earn. Claptastic Voyage is the fourth DLC for Borderlands: The-Presequel and is included in the Season Pass but will be available for purchase on its own for $9.99.
