Naughty Dog’s Game Director, Bruce Straley, has confirmed that The Last of Us DLC announcement will come this week. Towards the end of August, Naughty Dog revealed The Last of Us Patch 1.03, which added fixes to the game’s multiplayer and added a new Interrogation Mode.

The Last of Us is a PlayStation 3 exclusive and was released on June 14, 2013. It garnered tons of accolades and is truly a masterpiece for this generation’s gaming systems. When the game was initially released, a season pass was offered with the promise of three DLC packs, one of which will add to the single-player campaign. The remaining two DLCs will likely be multiplayer maps and expansions.

Previously, Naughty Dog stated that the single-player DLC will tell the story of other characters from The Last of Us’ main storyline. As in, the story of Joel and Ellie has come to an end, and the developer doesn’t plan on elaborating on it any time soon. Now let’s just hope that Naughty Dog doesn’t mean Friday for this week’s announcement, but rather earlier on in the week so we have something to look forward to.
