The full cast for Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII has been revealed, confirming that Serah, Mog, Caius and Yeul will all make an appearance in the third game in the Final Fantasy XIII series. Square Enix also revealed more details about the game and how Lightning Returns will tie the previous two stories together for an epic conclusion to Lightning’s tale.
Noel, who starred in Final Fantasy XIII-2 alongside Lightning’s sister, Serah, has been blaming himself for bringing about the destruction of the world. His guilt has caused him to hide from society and has become known as the “Shadow Hunter.” Once Lightning tracks Noel down, Yeul appears before her and begs her to save Caius.
It’s clear now that Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII will feature every main character from the previous two games in the series. It will be interesting to see how Square Enix ties the story together, hopefully in a non-convoluted way.
Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII will be released on February 11, 2014 for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.
