This week, the Street Fighter II SNES Trilogy will be heading to Wii U Virtual Console, which consists of the original Street Fighter II, Street Fighter II Turbo, and Super Street Fighter II. The SNES ports of the three titles will be priced at $7.99 each, though North American players can save 50 percent on two of the titles, after purchasing one of them. In other words, buy one, get the other two 50 percent off. European players on the other hand, get a buy two, get the third free deal. We’re not really sure why you wouldn’t just purchase Super Street Fighter II and call it a day though.
It’s been over two decades since Street Fighter II first made an appearance. So for those in the mood for some nostalgia, look towards the Wii U Virtual Console to satisfy your classic Hadouken cravings. All three titles will have Miiverse support. Recently, the executive producer to the Street Fighter series confirmed that the company had no plans to bring Street Fighter IV to the Wii U console, so Nintendo gamers looking for some Street Fighter action will just have to settle for this for the time being.
