PlayStation Home will be adding trophies in its next major update, v1.86. The news comes from PlayStation Europe Community Manager Chris Owen in a recent tweet. PlayStation Home is an app available on the PlayStation 3 only and will receive its 1.86 update tomorrow, March 12. The free virtual 3D social gaming platform was originally launched in 2008 and features mini-games, microtransactions and ad space akin to Second Life. The trophies being added to PlayStation Home in v1.86 will be retroactive.
Expect more details on the trophies to be released tomorrow once the PlayStation Home v1.86 update is live. There has been no word from the Sony team on whether or not PlayStation Home will make its way to the PlayStation 4 in the future.
