PlayStation 4 Sales Have Reached 7M Globally

PlayStation 4 sales have reached over seven million globally, Sony has announced. The figure is accurate as of April 6, 2014 while software sales have eclipsed the 20.5-million mark including retail and PlayStation store sales as of April 13, 2014.

The PlayStation 4 was originally released in North America on November 15, 2013 before heading to Europe on November 29, 2013. Sony held the console’s release in Japan until earlier this year on February 22, 2014.

In addition to announcing the PlayStation 4 sales numbers, Sony has announced that more information on the upcoming system software update will be available very soon.
