The Nintendo Direct from October 1 was packed with tons of trailers and announcements, and if you missed all the action earlier this morning you can watch the entire event here. Nintendo showed off a new gameplay trailer of Super Mario 3D World, gave more insight about Wii Party U, announced a delay for Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze, announced a new Kirby game for the Nintendo 2DS / 3DS and more.

In addition, Nintendo announced that Sonic the Hedgehog will be a playable character in the upcoming Super Smash Bros. game for the Wii U and 2DS / 3DS. There’s even tidbits about a new DLC for Pikmin 3 which goes live today, and a fedora chair that’s being added to Animal Crossing on the 3DS.
