Inspired by classic cartoons of the 1930s, MOUSE: P.I. For Hire has officially had its release date pushed from 2025 to March 19, 2026. Heading to PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Switch, and PC, MOUSE: P.I. For Hire is a cartoon-noir first-person shooter with a monochromatic visual style. If you haven’t heard of the game, it’s not Mickey Mouse wielding a gun because we all know that would never happen. Instead, players are Private Investigator Jack Pepper, voiced by none other than Troy Baker.

The adventure takes place in the city of Mouseburg, and gameplay blends FPS action with a detective story filled with intrigue, corruption, and murder. Along with lively environments to explore, players get to enjoy an original big-band jazz soundtrack, hand-drawn rubber-hose animation, and a full arsenal of cartoon weapons and power-ups. It’s all about helping P.I. Pepper find clues and piece them together to figure out what’s going on in Mouseburg.
