The Mighty No. 9 Kickstarter has reached the $3.1-million stretch goal, and with less than 30 hours left on the clock, it will be interesting to see if funding reaches the $3.3-million mark for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions.
In the spirit of the Kickstarter however, Comcept has released a proof-of-concept video showing how Mighty No. 9 might look like if the developers choose to use the Unreal engine. Developed in just seven days with placeholder assets and animation, Comcept wanted to make it clear that the video is hardly a sign of what the finished product will look like. And that should be obvious to anyone that has been following the Kickstarter from the start.
The team is evaluating if the Unreal engine will work for its game and normally no developer would show off something like this. But considering Mighty No. 9′s success on Kickstarter, it’s a good sign that Comcept is willing to reveal how the game is being made, even in its infancy stage.
