Our favorite pink puffball will be heading to the Nintendo 2DS and 3DS handheld consoles next year. The game was announced at the end of today’s Nintendo Direct, and was a nice treat for those that didn’t expect any new game announcements. Unfortunately, very little details about the new Kirby game were revealed but Nintendo did show off a trailer for it.
In true Nintendo form, the new Kirby game won’t break the successful mold of side-scrolling action, where Kirby can inhale his enemies and copy their skills. What it does differently however is take advantage of the capabilities of the 3DS, allowing players to jump between the foreground and background while dodging enemies that weave in and out our pink puffball’s path.
