The Kingdom Hearts HD launch event has been moved from Downtown Disney in Anaheim, California to the Platinum Ballroom at the Anaheim Marriott. According to the event’s Facebook page, there have been a number of issues with the original location and combined with the overwhelming number of RSVPs and the unbearable heat in Southern California, Square Enix and Disney has decided to move the event indoors. As a consolation for the last minute change, the first 2,000 attendees will receive a free Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 ReMIX Disney collector pin.

For the most part, everything else for the event will still go on as scheduled. Attendees will still be able to purchase the game two days in advance of its official launch and the Kingdom Keyblade will still be on hand for them to take photos with. The only downside to the location change is that parking fees will now apply.

The Kingdom Hearts HD launch event is on Sunday, September 8 and will start at 12:00 PM and run until 8:00 PM PDT. The company made no mention as to how limited the quantities are for the game, so get there early if you want to guarantee yourself a copy.
