God of War fans hoping for a surprise announcement during today’s State of Play were left disappointed. As the franchise celebrates its 20th anniversary, there have been rumors of remakes and a new 2D title, but the only thing that showed up today was a limited-edition DualSense controller. Launching October 23, the God of War 20th-anniversary limited-edition DualSense controller takes inspiration from the Ghost of Sparta’s iconic omega tattoo and ashen skin. In terms of limited-edition controllers, this one is surprisingly basic, and we’re disappointed there isn’t more to its design.
If you prefer subtlety, though, the DualSense Wireless Controller: God of War 20th Anniversary Limited Edition will be available for $84.99 (€84.99 / £74.99 / ¥12,480), with preorders starting on October 3, 2025, at 7:00 AM Pacific (10:00 AM Eastern) at direct.playstation.com and participating retailers globally. Those in the U.K., France, Germany, Austria, Spain, Portugal, Italy, the Netherlands, Belgium, and Luxembourg will be able to preorder at 10:00 AM local time. The official launch date and availability can vary by country.
