Defiance is going free-to-play, Trion Worlds has announced. It will first become free-to-play on PC starting June 4 while the PlayStation 3 version will go free-to-play on July 15. According to the company, plans for making Defiance free-to-play on the Xbox 360 are still underway and currently there’s no date to announce. Early adopters that purchased Defiance when it was first released on April 2, 2013 will get a 30-day “Paradise Patron” status, which includes a set of across-the-board boosts for their characters, a discount in the game’s online store and 1,000 in virtual currency to use at the store.
More information on Defiance going free-to-play will be shared when Trion Worlds hosts a livestream at its Twitch channel on Friday at 5:00 PM ET.
