Inti Creates has unveiled Azure Striker Gunvolt, a game heading to the 2DS and 3DS platforms this summer. The game is directed by Keiji Inafune, the creator of Mega Man, and fans of the Mega Man series will be quick to notice several similarities in gameplay. Azure Striker Gunvolt will star protagonist Gunvolt, who possesses psychic abilities and has a goal of shutting down the Sumeragi Group, an association that takes advantage of and abuses those with psychic abilities.
In the trailer, not only is gameplay shown off, but it reveals Gunvolt’s lightning attacks that strengthen over time. Gunvolt will be going up against the Sumeragi Group’s own psychic enemies with their own powers.
