Recently, Ronimo Games announced that its hit title Awesomenauts would be heading to the Sony PlayStation 4, and today, the Netherlands-based developer has announced that it’d like to take Awesomenauts to the next level with an expansion titled Awesomenauts: Starstorm. We’ve recommended Awesomenauts before in our stories, but we’ll say it again, it’s a really fun game if you’re into MOBAs, and its side-scrolling format makes it much easier to grasp than typical MOBAs like DOTA 2 and League of Legends.

As for Awesomenauts: Starstorm, the team wants to add three new characters to the game: Ted McPain, Sentry X-58, and Skree. Along with the three new characters, additional features in the expansion will include spectator mode, global chat, twin-stick controller support, and new music. If the project is funded, it will be available as a downladable DLC on Steam and PlayStation 4. The PS4 variant of the expansion will not receive spectator mode and global chat however.

Stretch goals for the project include a new map and music, a lobby browser with custom games support, replays, more new characters, a level editor and Steam Workshop integration, a character settings editor, and an AI editor. The stretch goals reach up to $630,000 in funding, though the goal of the project is set at $125,000, which we’re confident Ronimo Games will easily hit. If you’re a fan of Awesomenauts and want to see it continue to succeed and grow, hit the source link and break out your wallet.
