Fantasy Life i: The Girl Who Steals Time was originally set to release on October 10, 2024, before being delayed last month. Level5 has confirmed that the latest game in the Fantasy Life series will launch sometime in April 2025, exclusively on the Nintendo Switch, with other platforms currently undecided. The announcement came with a new trailer for the game, highlighting some of the features we can expect. These include open-world exploration, new movement options, quick life changes, island customization, landscaping, character interaction, and more. The game focuses on a robust story mode and numerous crafting options, including town planning and home customization. Fantasy Life i: The Girl Who Steals Time will support up to four players both online and locally. It will also feature a two-player mode where one player can join the adventure as a travel companion named Trip, without needing to go online.

In this latest entry in the franchise, players arrive on a mysterious island in the seas of Reveria. The island harbors a mystery that no one has been able to solve, and players must travel between two time periods to uncover the truth. This introduces an interesting mechanic where players travel years into the past to restore the island in the present. Fans of previous entries will be pleased to hear that Fantasy Life i: The Girl Who Steals Time features the largest continent yet.
